Document Analysis
Upload a PDF, get a structured summary and follow-up tasks in seconds.
NDIS plans, OT reports, discharge summaries, psychology reports, handovers - reading them end-to-end eats your morning. Document Analysis gives you a plain-English summary, every key date, and a set of concrete follow-up tasks in the time it takes to make a coffee. The PDF is processed and discarded. Only the structured extraction is saved. The source document remains authoritative - SRTD doesn't replace clinical or professional judgement.

How it looks
Walk through the actual tool
Example output. Names and details changed for privacy.
Step 1
Drop in the PDF, link to a participant
NDIS plan, OT assessment, neuropsych report, discharge summary, handover, BSP - any text-based PDF up to 25 MB. Optionally link to a participant on file or let SRTD match from the document. The PDF itself is processed and discarded - only the structured extraction is saved.
Analyse a document
Upload a PDF (NDIS plan, OT report, discharge summary, handover, etc.). SRTD extracts the key info and suggests follow-up tasks. The PDF itself is processed and discarded — only the extraction is saved.
PDF file
Up to 25 MB. Works best with text-based PDFs.
Participant (optional)
Link this analysis to a participant on file. You can skip and we'll try to match from the document.

This usually takes 15-60 seconds depending on the document length. Don't close this tab.
Step 2
15 to 60 seconds, depending on document length
Australian inference profile via AWS Bedrock - your participant data never leaves Australia. SRTD reads the document, identifies the structure, pulls out the clinical findings and recommendations, and surfaces the key dates.
Step 3
The clinical detail extracted, structured, scannable
Presenting issue, key findings, recommendations, equipment / aids, follow-up plan. No more reading 30 pages to find the AT recommendation buried in section 7.
Clinical findings
Presenting issue: Referral for neuropsychological assessment to clarify cognitive functioning and provide NDIS support recommendations for a 28-year-old with a complex developmental and psychiatric history. Compulsive rituals lasting up to 4-5 hours daily are the most functionally limiting issue, frequently preventing the participant from leaving the home.
Key findings
- Verbal skills in the lower end of the low average range, nonverbal reasoning borderline impaired, processing speed and working memory extremely low
- Adaptive functioning rated extremely low across all domains - below the 0.1th percentile - lower than measured intellectual functioning
- Executive functioning markedly impaired: extremely low performance on visual planning, difficulty generating alternative strategies
- Compulsive rituals (tapping, light switches, pacing) lasting 4-5 hours daily, preventing the participant from leaving the home
- Significant expressive and receptive language disorder with pragmatic language skills at the 1st percentile
- Carer (mother) is experiencing significant fatigue and distress while working full time
Recommendations
- Core support: maintain daily individual support workers (~5 hours per day) for self-care, domestic tasks, community access, recreational activities
- Capacity building: ongoing Occupational Therapy for self-regulation, structured routine, visual prompting systems, anxiety management
- Capacity building: ongoing Speech Pathology for expressive language and social communication skill development
- Other: urgent specialist psychiatry review for OCD management
Follow-up tasks
📋 Copy as markdownTick as you work through them. Ticks aren't saved - use the copy button to move the list into your notes.
Refer participant to specialist psychiatry for OCD review - report names two suitable services given the complexity of presentationHigh
Confirm whether current NDIS plan has been renewed and ensure this neuropsychological report is included as functional evidence in any plan review submissionHigh
Engage or re-engage an Occupational Therapist for ongoing capacity-building support focused on self-regulation, structured routines, and visual prompting systemsHigh
Confirm active Speech Pathology service agreement and that the treating speech pathologist has received a copy of this reportHigh
Source and procure low-cost assistive technology items recommended in this report (speech recognition software, text-to-speech, noise-cancelling headphones)
Brief all current support workers on the cognitive strategies section - use visual prompts, allow extended response time, give information in one or two steps
Step 4
A worklist you can actually action
The recommendations buried in the report turn into a tick-as-you-go follow-up task list. Copy as markdown into your case management system, or work through them in the tool. Priority-tagged so you know what's urgent.
What it does
Built for the way NDIS workers actually work
Works with any NDIS PDF
NDIS plans, OT or functional capacity assessments, discharge summaries, psychology reports, behaviour support plans, handover reports, provider reports. SRTD auto-detects the type and extracts the fields that matter for that kind of document.
Suggested follow-up tasks as checkboxes
The analysis doesn't just summarise - it produces 3-8 concrete actions pulled from the document (bookings to make, providers to contact, reviews to schedule). Tick them off as you work, or copy them into your notes / to-do app as a markdown checklist.
Plans broken down the way you actually think about them
For NDIS plans: Core / Capacity / Capital totals, every goal, management type, plan period, review date - surfaced as clean fields instead of buried in a 30-page document.
Participant auto-matching
Pick a participant up front, or leave it blank and SRTD tries to match the name from the document to your existing participant list.
Privacy-first by design
The PDF is processed in memory and discarded - never written to disk, never stored in our database. Only the structured extraction is saved, and we deliberately strip NDIS numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, and precise medication details even if they appear in the document.
Australia-only AI
PDFs are analysed by Claude via AWS Bedrock's Australian inference profile - Sydney and Melbourne only. Your participant data never leaves Australia.
How it works
Three steps. Seconds.
- 1
Upload the PDF
Drag or pick a file. Up to 25 MB. Pick a participant to link it to (or let SRTD try to match from the doc).
- 2
SRTD analyses and summarises
15-60 seconds depending on size. You see a progress indicator while the AI reads the document.
- 3
Review, tick off, copy
Read the summary, tick off follow-up tasks as you action them, copy the task list into your notes system. Delete the extraction any time.
SRTD's outputs are designed to support NDIS Practice Standards-aligned documentation. Compliance with audit and Practice Standards requirements depends on how outputs are used and verified by the worker. SRTD does not guarantee any audit outcome.
